Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. More than 20 albums were released by her. Her music is classified as folk rock and alternative rock although it has additional influence from hip hop and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement, and was among the first artists to create her own record label in 1990. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian heritage and her mother was Montreal-born. The song by Ani, 32 Flavors was composed by her and is performed by Ani. The track was first released in 1995 on the sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. The song's version can be heard on the film Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized in 2013 when it was reported that she planned to host an event for three days at an Louisiana slave plantation. It was cancelled but the majority of people (including this paper) did not show any remorse. DiFranco issued a new apology a couple of days following the first. While she is known as Little Peoplesinger, she's worked with many musicians and artists from Pete Seeger through Chuck D up to Prince. The place she lives is New Orleans. Ani DiFranco lives with Kristen Ford. Within 14 months, Ani DiFranco was already writing her own lyrics. They performed in bars and coffeehouses during her teens. DiFranco completed her studies at The Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school at 16 and started attending the classes of Buffalo State College.
