Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. More than 20 albums were released by her. Her music is classified as folk rock and alternative rock although it has additional influence from hip hop and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement, and was among the first artists to create her own record label in 1990. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
